The 16mm color film, East 7th Street, was shot in a studio and on location in Manhattan during the summer of 1999. The film was edited in what is now the "old-fashioned" way - on a flatbed - and was completed in the Fall of 2001. This is the second short film by writer-director Dara Albanese, and it was made in partial fulfillment of a graduate degree from the Film Division of Columbia University.
Before film school, Albanese was an Arts & Entertainment writer. In addition to current film pursuits, she is also the Co-Publisher & Editor of the online short fiction magazine collectedstories.com and is in development on [a film by].com. >read more
